Organizational questions

Here is an overview of what we are working on:
At Autism Forever Home, we are creating a self-sustaining, parent-led community designed to provide lifelong care for autistic children. As a pilot project, we propose India as our initial location due to its affordability in terms of medical care, construction, food, equipment, medical insurance, and therapies ranging from yoga and homeopathy to naturopathy. Our long-term vision is to replicate this success in other countries, allowing children to remain close to their families while receiving world-class care.
Legal Structure & Financial Sustainability
- The organization will be registered as a Trust in both India and the U.S., ensuring global credibility and legal security.
- All parents and children will be covered under lifelong medical insurance, reducing healthcare worries.
- The commune will be self-sustaining, growing its own food, generating electricity, and harvesting rainwater to minimize external dependencies.
- The monthly fee (estimated between $500–$1000) will cover living costs, care, medical assistance, education, and security.
- The community will undergo annual auditing by independent firms, ensuring transparency in compliance, safety, and financial well-being. All members will receive access to these reports.
Campus & Living Arrangements
- The campus will include dormitory-style accommodations for children, following structured daily routines.
- Parents can choose to live on campus permanently or visit periodically, maintaining career commitments while staying involved.
- Personal housing spaces will be available for parents who choose to stay on-site, along with amenities such as a library, gym, sauna, and a café to foster a sense of community.
- The entire campus will have high-speed WiFi and security cameras, ensuring connectivity and safety.
- Outdoor excursions, sightseeing activities, picnics, and annual festivities will be planned to create an enriching environment for children. Parents will collaborate during board meetings to set daily routines, food menus, and community events.
Education & Daily Life
- The commune will gradually help children transition to independent routines. Initially, they will stay with their parents and join morning yoga and breakfast sessions. Over time, gradual separation practices will help them build confidence and independence.
- A structured schedule will include therapy sessions, school classes, sports, and cultural activities to ensure holistic development.
- The kitchen will maintain high hygiene standards, offering a combination of Western and specialized dietary plans based on medical recommendations.
AI-Powered Communication & Monitoring
- Parents can stay connected through AI-powered video calls and live security camera feeds via our mobile app.
- AI will store and relay medical history to caregivers, ensuring accurate treatment.
- Parents can record personalized voice and video messages for their children, providing emotional reassurance even in their absence.
Preventing Abandonment – Ensuring Long-Term Parental Responsibility (The following Statements are under review and will change as we revise them)
A crucial concern is preventing parental abandonment while ensuring that every child remains cared for. To address this, we have established several safeguards:
1. Financial Commitments & Security Deposits
- Parents will be required to pay an upfront security deposit (e.g., one year’s fees in advance), ensuring financial responsibility.
- A tiered payment plan will encourage long-term commitment (e.g., pre-payment for 3-5 years at discounted rates).
- An endowment fund will be set up for each child, ensuring financial sustainability even if a parent leaves or is unable to pay at some point.
2. Legal Safeguards & Binding Agreements
- Parents must sign legally binding agreements stating that they remain financially responsible for their child’s care, even if they do not visit.
- Guardianship will be registered with the Trust, preventing abandonment without an approved transfer of care.
3. Emotional & Psychological Measures
- Parents who are off campus must participate in mandatory monthly/daily/frequent check-ins (via video calls or in-person visits).
- Annual community meetings will ensure that all parents stay engaged and accountable.
- AI-powered systems will track parental engagement, sending automated alerts when a parent is inactive.
4. Social Pressure & Reputation Management
- A Parent Board will oversee living parental or sibling/family involvement, ensuring no child is neglected.
5. Alternative Guardianship & Child Sponsorship
- If a parent abandons their child permanently, the community will step in to assign:
- A volunteer guardian (another parent in the community).
- A sponsorship program, where donors fund the child’s care.
- An ethical adoption system, ensuring long-term responsibility and well-being.
6. Financial Consequences for Abandonment
- A non-refundable exit fee will be charged to parents who withdraw irresponsibly.
